Existing 4–20 mA transmitters connected to the platform over the cellular network, without running cables to a central system.
Many process variables already have a transmitter installed with a 4–20 mA output: pressure, level, flow. What is missing is getting that signal to where someone can see it. An AKIoT logger with 4–20 mA inputs reads it on site and sends it over the cellular network to the platform.
How it is solved
- Two 4–20 mA inputs per logger, scaled on the platform to the process unit.
- Threshold alarms on the process variable, not on the current.
- Remote sites without a network: tanks, pumps, stations.
- Equipment with other industrial protocols, through the integration gateway.
